Elizabeth Olsen’s acting career in Hollywood is running at full throttle. But when it comes to private life, she prefers to keep things under wraps. Nonetheless, it hasn’t stopped her fans from becoming curious about her love life.

She is, in fact, married, and her love story is quite sweet. Here is the relationship timeline between the adorable couple, Elizabeth Olsen and her husband, Robbie Arnett.

They stepped out in public in 2017

For years, Olsen’s fans were in a quiet dilemma about her dating status after her breakup with fellow actor Boyd Holbrook. The former couple were engaged but called it quits in 2014.

It took three years for Olsen to reveal her man Robbie Arnett as they stepped out in public in September 2017. According to People.com, the pair made their first appearance at the 2017 Gersh pre-Emmys party in Los Angeles.

The fateful encounter between Olsen and Arnett happened in Mexico during a vacation in February 2017, a source revealed to E! News. Within a month, in March 2019, the couple was spotted in New York walking arm-in-arm.

They got married during the pandemic

Elizabeth Olsen husband Robbie Arnett’s relationship is indeed a fairy tale romance. After three years of dating, the lovely pair became engaged in 2019 and determined to walk down the aisle together.

During the middle of the pandemic in 2020, Olsen and Arnett got married. At the time, few details surfaced regarding their low-key nuptials, except for some videos about their quarantine shenanigans.

Their nuptials were considered secret by many, but Olsen has other things to say. Opening up about her wedding in an interview with InStyle.com in October 2025, the WandaVision actress said that she doesn’t consider eloping with Arnet a secret; “people just didn’t know about their marriage.”

Their wedding wasn’t confirmed until mid-2021

A year after their “secret marriage,” Olsen hinted in June 2021 that she and her fiancé, Arnett, had taken their relationship to the next level. US Weekly confirmed the good news of their wedding.

During the interview with The Big Bang Theory actress Kaley Cuoco, Olsen dropped the bombshell, referring to Robbie Arnett as her husband.

She said:

“I (also) just noticed that my husband put ‘Little Miss Magic’ — you know, the ‘Little Miss’ books? They’re these classic books, but magic because of ‘WandaVision,’ because he’s such a f**king cutie.”

Her comments became the center of attraction as many learned that she quietly married Arnett during the pandemic back in 2020.

They value their privacy

Both Olsen and Arnett prefer to keep their limelight out of tabloids.

Though they often stay out of the paparazzi, the couple was seen attending the 81st Golden Globe Awards at The Beverly Hills in California in January 2024. At the red carpet, Olsen donned a white bridal dress while her husband Arnett looked stunning in a black suit.

In April 2025, JustJared captured the sweet moment of the couple strolling around the Studio City bookstore in California. Also in November 2025, Olsen told in an interview with People.com that she and her husband, Arnett, prefer to keep their “date nights simple and cozy.”

Her husband is a musician and author

Elizabeth Olsen’s husband Robbie Arnett is a lead and back vocalist of the indie-pop band Milo Greene. He and his bandmates Graham Fink, Marlana Sheetz, and Curtis Marrero formed the band in 2010.

As a musician, Arnett and his band members released their self-titled debut album, Milo Greene, in 2012. They dropped their second album, Control, in January 2015, followed by the third album Adult Contemporary in September 2018.

Alongside his wife, Elizabeth Olsen, Arnett is a co-author of the picture book series Thwistle Ping! The children’s storybook is expected to hit the shelves on February 17, 2026. They are also the authors of the children’s book Hattie Harmony: Worry Detective.
